Future Shorts

Have you heard about our film evenings? This month we will be screening on Friday night (instead of the usual Saturday).

Future Shorts is a collection of short films from around the world, screened simultaneously across 16 countries. Mezzanine in Forbes is home to one of the 10 Australian screenings.

Cosy up on a lounge at Mez with a wine, this Friday we will also have antipasto platters and an oyster bar.

Forbes NSW Small Winemakers Dinner

Tuesday August 23rd we hosted the Forbes small winemakers judges dinner, as happens each year. Here are some pics of the starter platters. Forgot to snap the delish entrees (roast pumpkin, sage and fetta handmade ravioli/roasted tomato soup w melting bocconcini and fresh basil) and mains (duck ragout/osso bucco, both served with creamy polenta and vegetables)!

Future Shorts Film Festival

FutureShortsFuture Shorts is an exciting global film event! It is a collaboration of the world’s best hand-picked short films which are shown around the world quarterly.

These short films are selected for their creativity & diversity. They range from about 2 minutes to around 20 minutes in duration. Each quarter, we are sent a set of new films to screen- so we never know what kind of films we will be watching until the night.

Forbes is one of 10 places in Australia that are hosting this event, and one of  only 18 countries across the globe!

This is a great opportunity  for the people of Forbes and surrounding areas to be a part of something different. Local support will ensure we can continue to run these screenings here in Forbes.

The next screening is August 6 here at Mezzanine. Come along at 7:30 to grab a drink from the bar, and find a comfy lounge! We will start the screening at 8pm. Tix are $10. Casual atmosphere….. Uggboots are acceptable footwear! 🙂

See you all soon!
